The former arrangement of two successive rolling stands, one with a horizontal pair, one with a vertical pair, is superseded. Horizontal roller pair and vertical roller pair (H1, H2; V1, V2) are both included in common rolling stand. Vertical planes defined by their axes (VEH, VEV) can be adjusted and set, along rolling direction (WR). Horizontal roller pair (H1, H2) is connected to roller drive. An Independent claim is included for the method of operation.
