<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a turning operation of an ignition knob even if ID of an ignition knob lock unit is not registered. <P>SOLUTION: In the electronic key device for a vehicle, a restriction/release of a turning operation of the ignition knob is carried out based on a result of ID checking between the electronic key and it and ID checking between the ignition knob lock unit 16 for restricting the turning operation of the ignition knob for activating the vehicle by the turning operation and it.
