<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact oxygen sensor element that has superb gas response properties and can rapidly be raised in temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The oxygen sensor element is characterized in that it is provided with a sensor section where a measuring electrode and a reference electrode made of platinum are provided on at least opposing both sides of a long ceramic solid electrolyte substrate flat plate, and a heater section where a platinum heater is buried into a ceramic insulating layer, and further, at the heater section, a pair of platinum heaters is formed up and down via the ceramic insulating layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
