<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the increase in line defect even in the case that a liquid crystal display device receives a peeling electrification before completion of an array part of a thin film transistor. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing liquid crystal display device includes a process for preparing an insulative transparent substrate 1, a process for arranging a short ring pattern 14 made of a conductor and scan signal supply wiring 2 connecting to the short ring pattern by a connection part 18 on the insulative transparent substrate, a process for arranging a plurality of pixel electrodes 7 and switching elements 4 corresponding to the pixel electrodes as a matrix on the insulative transparent substrate, a process for arranging video signal supply wiring 5 connecting to the switching elements, a process for forming opening patterns 17 to open the connection parts connecting the short ring pattern and the scan signal supply wiring, and a process for removing the connection parts by etching through the opening patterns to separate each scan signal supply wiring from the short ring pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
