PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finally obtain a product having superior optical characteristics with the use of a simple facility, by a few processing steps and at a reduced cost. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a microlens type light beam guide plate comprises: a step of forming a dot net pattern on a flat substrate (a); a step of heating and burning the flat substrate to generate a curved pattern by applying molding heat flow to the dot net pattern on the surface of the flat substrate (b); a step of producing a forming mold by applying electromolding to the flat substrate (c); and a step of manufacturing the microlens type light beam guide plate by utilizing the forming mold (d).
