NONDESTRUCTIVE INSPECTING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ARTIFICIAL STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nondestructive inspecting method and an apparatus for artificial structure for nondestructively inspecting an artificial structure such as a tunnel inner wall made of a concrete by a simple method without the need for striking the artificial structure with a hammer. SOLUTION: Attention is given to the fact that an ice ball 6 is melted into water at normal temperature with the passage of time. A spherical ice ball 6 is projected by an ice ball projecting device 1 and brought into collision with the surface of the artificial structure such as the tunnel inner wall made of concrete. Its reflected sound is collected by a microphone 2. Frequency analysis is performed on the collected reflected sound by a nondestructive analyzer 3 to nondestructively inspect the strength of the artificial structure such as the tunnel inner wall made of concrete.
