PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent incorrect engine test. SOLUTION: This engine dynamo meter has an allowable value setting unit 24 setting the allowable value of torque in stop of an engine of a dynamo meter 16 connected to the engine 15; a comparator 25 which outputs a signal when the torque output of the dynamo meter 16 exceeds the allowable value; and an engine stop detector 26 detecting a stop state of the engine 15, and when the comparator 25 outputs the signal in the stop state of the engine, the engine dynamo meter is stopped.
