PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for melt-spinning a polyamide, suppressing the production of low molecular weight polymers such as a monomer, an oligomer, etc., on melt-spinning, and suppressing a soil on the surface of a spinneret on melt-spinning to improve a spinning operation property by sealing the surface of the spinneret with steam. SOLUTION: This method for melt-spinning the polyamide comprises a process (process A) of adding a magnesium compound to a polymerization reaction system or the polyamide in any of the stages of before the polymerization, during the polymerization or after the polymerization so that the amount of magnesium becomes≥0.5 mmol and <30 mmol range based on 100 g polyamide, and a process of spinning the polyamide obtained by the process A while supplying steam on the surface of the spinneret.
