APPARATUS FOR ATTACHING/DETACHING INK CARTRIDGE OF INK JET PRINTER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for attaching/detaching an ink cartridge of an ink jet printer is provided to easily exchange the ink cartridge and to reduce noise by installing a latch and a locking lever for locking the latch. CONSTITUTION: An ink cartridge attaching/detaching apparatus includes a carrier frame(110) having a cavity for receiving an ink cartridge(150), a latch(120) rotatably installed at an upper portion of the carrier frame(110) so as to open/close the cavity, and a locking lever(160) rotatably installed at a lower portion of the carrier frame(110) in order to lock the latch(120). One end of the latch(120) is hinged to the carrier frame(110) and the other end of the latch(120) is formed with a protrusion(125) engaged with the locking lever(160). A latch spring(130) is provided to elastically bias the latch(120). The locking lever(160) has a push part, a hinge part and a lift part.
