<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low temperature-firable porcelain composition which can be fired at 800 to 1,000°C, and has a low dielectric constant and a low dielectric tangent in the high frequency region of ≥18 GHz, and to provide a method of producing low temperature friable porcelain. <P>SOLUTION: The low temperature-firable porcelain composition contains the oxides of Mg, Zn and Si (MgO, ZnO and SiO<SB>2</SB>) by 81 to 94 mass% in total, 4.5 to 16.5 mass% Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and 1 to 5 mass% Li<SB>2</SB>O. Provided that MgO, ZnO and SiO<SB>2</SB>are compositionally expressed as xMgO-(1-x)ZnOySiO<SB>2</SB>, 0.2≤x≤0.8, 0.3≤y≤2.8 are satisfied. In the method of producing low temperature-firable porcelain, raw material oxides are prepared so as to satisfy the above composition, molded, and thereafter fired at 800 to 1,000°C in an oxidizing or nonoxidizing atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
