<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink for ink jet and a method for forming an image which make an improvement in clogging of an ink jet head, enable attainment of a high image density and reduce the nonuniformity in the image. <P>SOLUTION: The ink for ink jet contains a coloring particulate constituted of a resin A containing a coloring material or a coloring particulate formed by coating the surface of the resin A containing the coloring material with a resin B, a water-based solvent and water. In the ink, the rate of the initial elution of the coloring material of the coloring particulate in a coloring material dissolving agent is 10% or below, while the rate of the intermediate elution of the coloring material in the agent is 50% or below, and the resin A has a matter insoluble in ethyl acetate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
