METHOD FOR PRECHARGING SIGNAL LINE AND PRECHARGE VOLTAGE GENERATION CIRCUIT

PURPOSE: A method for precharging a signal line and a precharge voltage generation circuit are provided to maintain constantly slew rates for all output signals by precharging a signal connected to an auxiliary source driver to the next output signal level. CONSTITUTION: The first polarity inversion signal of the first data is compared to the second polarity inversion signal of the second data(910). One voltage level is selectively outputted from precharge voltages having different voltage levels and the selected voltage level in response to the combination of the second polarity inversion signal and the most significant bit of the second data when a phase of the first polarity inversion signal is different from the phase of the second polarity inversion signal(920). A signal line connected to an auxiliary source driver is precharged by the selected voltage level in response to a precharge timing control signal(950).
