<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve squareness of a mounting surface 25, namely an outer surface of a rotation side flange 15b for the rotation center of a hub 8b in a third generation structure where a first inner raceway track 16 is directly formed on the outer peripheral surface of the intermediate part of a hub body 13b, and to reduce judder occurring at braking. <P>SOLUTION: The rotation side flange 15b has a plurality of screw holes 33 for screwing bolts for fixing a wheel. After assembling respective components of a bearing unit 5b for the wheel, finishing of the mounting surface 25 is performed by rotating and grinding the hub 8b. Therefore, a size error and a mounting error for each component have no affect on the squareness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
