PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate failure due to flash at the force-fitting part of a fiber stub 3 in an optical receptacle 8. SOLUTION: To a holder 7, there is fixedly force-fitted the rear end of the fiber stub 3 that is obtained by fixing an optical fiber 1b in the through hole of a ferrule 1, with a flash reservoir 7a installed at the end of the inner circumferential face of the holder 7.
