PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a handle device for a conventional refrigerator wherein high strength is required for a handle itself since the handle itself rotates and moves to be abutted on an outer casing, and the handle has shape and material requiring the high strength and the number of parts is increased to cause high price. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator, a door constituted of upper and lower caps, a door panel and a heat insulating material is openably/closably mounted to close a front surface of a main body of the refrigerator. The handle constituted of a handle main body sliding to front and rear sides and a pressing tool is provided on either one of the upper and lower caps of the door. By sliding the handle main body, the pressing tool pushes the outer casing of the refrigerator and makes the door in an open state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
