PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grip hole cover device of a manhole cover superior in durability, and allowed to perform always sure fastening work needless to say to be able to easily block up a grip hole even in operability at fastening time. SOLUTION: This grip hole cover device of the manhole cover is composed of a bolt 2 having a fastening hole 2a for fastening on the upper surface side, a cap 3 having an inserting-installing hole 3a for inserting-installing a head part 2b of this bolt 2, and having a disk plate 3c of a disk shape for blocking up the grip hole 11 of the manhole cover 10, and a rotary body 4 having a locking part 4a having a through hole 7 for inserting the bolt 2 and a female screw 8a for threadably attaching a male screw 2c of the bolt 2 and locked on the grip hole 11 when rotating in the grip hole 11, and an abutting surface 4b capable of abutting to the under surface side of the manhole cover 10, and arranged so as to prevent upward slipping-out, and is arranged so that the rotary body 4 moves to either one of upper and lower parts along the bolt 2 when rotating the bolt 2 in a state of locking the locking part 4a on the grip hole 11.
