PURPOSE: A plankton counter is provided to semi-permanently use the plankton counter and to precisely count the plankton by forming a thickness of a line forming a grating in a slim size. CONSTITUTION: A pigment to be printed is prepared on a slide. Then, a stencil work is carried out with precise interval and angle to obtain a predetermined grating pattern. After that, a preheating process is carried out for two minutes at a temperature about 200 to 250 deg.C. The preheating temperature is variable depending on a thickness of a glass plate. Then, a heat treatment process is carried out for 1 to 3 minutes at a temperature about 500 to 600 deg.C. While the heat treatment process is being carried out, a surface of the glass plate is molten so that a pigment of ink is penetrated into the glass plate. After ejecting the slide from a furnace, a cooling process is carried out with respect to the slide for 5 to 15 minutes.
