<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a foam type ink tank in which deterioration of ink characteristics, e.g. quick dry properties, due to adsorption of surfactant in the ink by the foam can be avoided. <P>SOLUTION: When a foam type ink tank 1 is produced, foam 6 is packed into a foam containing chamber 5 at first, only a surfactant is injected to the vicinity 6a of the ink take-out hole 7 of the foam 6 using a syringe needle 21, and then the inside of the foam 6 is filled with ink from the ink take-out hole 7 side. The surfactant injected excessively is diffused uniformly to the corners of the foam 6 by the ink and then adsorbed. Since the surfactant in the ink being injected in the following process can be prevented from being adsorbed by the foam 6, increase in the surface tension of ink due to deficiency of surfactant and thereby deterioration of quick dry properties of ink can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
