FIBER OPTICAL PLATE AND RECESSED AND PROJECTED PATTERN DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber optical plate enabling a detector to be miniaturized or thinned and an illumination means to efficiently illuminate an object to be measured in a recessed and projected pattern detector utilizing scattered light inside the object to be measured, and the recessed and projected pattern detector to which the fiber optical plate is applied.

SOLUTION: The axis of the optical transmission line of the fiber optical plate 1 and a recessed and projected pattern input surface 122 are inclined at a slant angle set so as not to totally reflect light made incident from the air on a core clad boundary. The fiber optical plate 1 is provided with a detection area 12 where a light absorbent is arranged around the respective optical transmission lines and an illumination area 14 where the light absorbent is not interposed between the optical transmission lines adjacent to each other. A recessed and projected pattern output surface 124 and an image pickup element 4 and an illumination light incident plane 142 and an LED array 5 are respectively joined with a transparent adhesive material.
