<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage the residue quantity of paper in a paper feeding tray with high precision in terms of the number of remaining pieces of paper. <P>SOLUTION: When setting of the paper feeding tray to a paper feeding position is detected, a display is carried out to prompt input of the added number of pieces of paper to the paper feeding tray or the total number of pieces of paper to a display panel is made. Control is carried out so that when the added number of pieces of paper is inputted by a key operation of a key inputting means, the inputted number of pieces of paper is added to a number of pieces of paper memory and when the total number of pieces of paper is inputted, the inputted total number of pieces of paper is set to the number of pieces of paper memory and control is carried out so that every time a paper feeding action is started, 1 is subtracted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
