PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens cover which realizes miniaturization and weight reduction and to which a function for preventing closing the cover from being forgotten and a function for restraining the lowering of operability are added. SOLUTION: The lens cover 1 is disposed on a photographic lens L so as to cover/uncover the lens L. The cover 1 is equipped with a case 2 having an outside frame part and a shutter 3 provided to move between a position where it covers the lens L and a position where it uncovers the lens L within the outside frame part of the case 2. An energizing means 14 for energizing the shutter 3 toward either the position where it covers the lens L or the position where it uncovers the lens L is provided on the shutter 3. Further, a latch mechanism for holding the shutter 3 at a position on a reverse side to an energizing direction by the energizing means 14 when the shutter 3 is positioned at such a position is provided between the case 2 and the shutter 3. A releasing part 17 for releasing the holding of the shutter 3 by the latch mechanism is provided in the latch mechanism. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
