PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract desired facilities which can be dropped by, without driving a running route back as much as possible. SOLUTION: In a co-ordinate storage portion 11, a history of position information as a running locus of a vehicle on board an apparatus is stored, and on the basis of this history its proceeding direction is determined by a proceeding- direction determination portion 12. In calculation portions 13, 14, search regions having widths weighted by distances from a current position along the proceeding direction are determined in front and in the rear of the current position. A front region is set larger, and a rear region is set smaller. A facility information extraction portion 16 extracts information inside the regions out of facility information, and outputs it to a display 6.
