PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate mounting of a disk brake to a car body side, having an independent brake pad corresponding to a plurality of pistons. SOLUTION: Four pistons including pistons 11A and 11B are faced to a caliper body 3 of the disk brake 1, and four independent brake pads corresponding to respective pistons are disposed. Expanding tilting surfaces 34A and 34B are formed at the lower ends of torque receiving parts 20A and 20B disposed between the adjacent brake pads in a central part of the caliper body 3. In mounting the caliper body 3 to the car body side, the outer peripheral edge of a disk rotor 2 is guided along the expanding tilting surfaces 34A and 34B of the torque receiving parts 20A and 20B and is smoothly inserted into a disk pass part 10 between the faced torque receiving parts 20A and 20B and brake pads, so that the mounting of the caliper body 3 to the car body is facilitated.
