PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a piperazine derivative having pharmacological activities such as a tachykinin-antagonizing action, and to obtain its salt. SOLUTION: This piperazine derivative is represented by the formula [Y is a bond or a lower alkylene; R1is an aryl substituted with one to three substituents selected from halogen, alkyl, alkoxys, (substituted) alkyl, nitro, amino, alkylamino, alkylthio, alkylsulfonyl, aminosulfonyl, pyrrolyl, pyridyl, and the like; R2is an aryl substituted with one to three substituents selected from (substituted) alkyl, (substituted) alkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl, hydroxy, alkylsilyloxy, cyano, amino, pyrrolidinyl, and the like; R3is H or a lower alkyl; R4is an alkyl substituted with a (substituted) heterocyclic group] and its medicinally acceptable salt, and methods for producing the compounds are also provided.
