The arrangement has a shell and a channel flow arrangement (2,5) for two heat transfer mediums, respectively. The channel flow arrangement includes two parts in which the flow directions of the heat transfer medium are opposite to each other. One part (8) includes an outer shell (8.1) partially enveloped by the shell flow arrangement and the part (9) includes an inner shell (9.1) arranged partially inside the former part. An independent claim is also included for a method of condensing condensable components from hot gases in a heat exchanger arrangement.
