PURPOSE: An air plug for a tire vulcanizing mold is provided to shorten the length of a trimming process by mounting the air plug at a vent of the vulcanizing mold and preventing the generation of squeezed-rubber. CONSTITUTION: An air plug(10) is placed at a vent formed at a tire vulcanizing mold, and prevents the generation of squeezed-rubber. The air plug includes a body(11) having an air passage. A piston(12) is inserted into the body, and has a stepped part. A spring(S) is mounted on the lower part of the piston. An air discharge groove(14) is formed at the outer circumference of a spline(13) mounted on the lower surface of the spring.
