<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inside door handle device for a vehicle allowing removal of a cover without using any tool. <P>SOLUTION: In the cover 12 formed into a C-shape substantially, a part of the circumference of an opening part of a door trim 21 is not connected. Therefore, differently from a conventional frame type cover, the C-shaped cover 12 can be flexibly deformed with ease in its both end parts 35 and 35. When either of the end parts 35 of the cover 12 is warped by fingertips without using any tool, engagement of an engagement means positioned in the vicinity of the end part 35 can be released easily. In this way, when one engagement means is released, the other engagement means can be directly released, and the cover 12 can be removed.
