<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-insulating container for a liquid such as a directly drinking type bottle wherein slack of a tap-forming member equipped with a tap with which a tap plug is screwed due to the opening/closing of the tap plug to a container body is prevented from occurring. <P>SOLUTION: This heat-insulating container for a liquid is equipped with the container body having a heat-insulating structure, in which the liquid to be heat-insulated is housed, a shoulder member which is provided on the outer periphery of the opening of the container body through a packing for sealing, the tap-forming member which is screw-fixed with the outer periphery of the opening of the shoulder member through a packing for sealing, the tap section which is extended from the upper section of the tap-forming member, and the tap plug which is screw-fixed with the outer periphery of the tap section through a packing for sealing. In this case, a relationship between a sealing pressure for the packing to seal a space between the tap section and the tap plug and a sealing pressure of the packing to seal a space between the opening of the shoulder member and the tap-forming member is that the sealing pressure of the latter packing is formed to be larger than the sealing pressure of the former.
