<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip for a writing utensil which, despite the adoption of a simple production process, when a decorative plate 4 is mounted in an opening window 3B of a clip 3, does not cause any gap between a backside 4B of the decorative plate 4 and the surface of the clip 3. <P>SOLUTION: An opening window 3B is formed in a clip 3, and a decorative plate 4 is mounted in the opening window 3B.
