METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSFER VOLTAGE CONTROL FOR FULL- COLOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform bias control over a transfer part for increasing the quality of an image without causing image deterioration even when a high-viscosity liquid toner is used.

SOLUTION: A multicolored toner image developed on a photoreceptor is transferred according to a transfer voltage. A surface potential on a photoreceptor after development is read or a surface potential is set on the basis of a developing current value read in the development. Optimum transfer voltage values for holding potential differences from the surface potential at a specified value are set by colors and potential differences between toner layer potentials on the photoreceptor after the development and a transferred body potential are controlled by the colors so as to be equal with the optimum transfer potential values.
