<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken detection of the final paper sheet by detecting a paper sheet detecting means in a position near to a rear end of the minimum paper sheet size, and to eliminate a useless image preparation process to restrain toner consumption, deterioration of equipment and electric power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device has an inclined bottom plate 1 for loading the paper sheets, a sheet feeding part 102 for feeding the sheets to an image forming part 103 while separating the sheets one sheet by one sheet, a paper sheet supporting means for bringing the sheet into contact with the sheet feeding part 10 or for elevation-controlling it to a prescribed position, and the paper sheet detecting means 4 for detecting the presence of the sheet on the bottom plate 1. In the image forming device, the detecting means 4 detects the vicinity of the rear end of the sheet of the minimum paper sheet size out of the sheet sizes loadable on the bottom plate 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
