PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire in which pattern noise attributable to a discontinuous part is reduced by generating the axle force in the opposite direction by utilizing the change in rigidity of a side part of the tire in order to cancel the fluctuation in the axle force of the tire generated in the rigid discontinuous part of a tread part. SOLUTION: The rigid discontinuous part 21 to generate the fluctuation in the axle force of the tire is formed in the circumferential direction of rib rows B4 and B5 formed on a tread part T of the tread part 11, and a changing- rigidity part 23 to cancel the fluctuation of the axle force of the tire generated by the discontinuous part 21 is provided at the position of the side part 12 corresponding to the discontinuous part 21 in the circumferential direction X of the tire. Fluctuation of the axle force of the tire is suppressed, excitation of an axle is reduced, and the pattern noise attributable thereto is reduced thereby. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
