摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shake detector having less processing load and a shake correcting optical apparatus which efficiently discriminate a shake intended by a user, an unexpected shake and mixture of them to be able to cope with all conditions including panning. SOLUTION: The shake detector is provided with an abnormal shake start detection part 41 which detects the start of an abnormal shake of a device including an oscillation detection part by comparing an oscillation detection signal with a reference value, an abnormal shape end detection part 43 which detects the end of the abnormal shake of the device by comparing the oscillation detection signal with the reference value, and an abnormal shape classification discrimination part 42 which discriminates the classification of the abnormal shake of the device in the period from the start to the end of the abnormal shake and outputs the discrimination result of the abnormal shake classification, and the abnormal shake classification discrimination part 42 utilizes the oscillation detection signal and the reference value to perform discrimination when the oscillation detection signal and the reference value meet a prescribed condition, and the abnormal shake classification discrimination part 42 doesn't utilize the oscillation detection signal and the reference value to perform discrimination when the oscillation detection signal and the reference value don't meet the prescribed condition.
