PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve a problem that bacterium contained in air can be reliably sterilized when an ultraviolet lamp is lighted. SOLUTION: A refrigerating cycle consisting of a compressor 24, an evaporator 22, a condenser 23, and a centrifugal blower 11 is incorporated in a body 1. A plane sterilizing lamp 27 irradiates air, sucked through front suction ports 6 and 7, with ultraviolet rays 27i. Visible radiation light 27j emitted from visible light emitting surface 27m of the plane sterilizing lamp 27 is detected by a photo sensor 35. When lighting of the plane sterilizing lamp 27 is detected by the photo sensor 35, a microcomputer 45 to control a motor 12 of the centrifugal blower 11 rotates the motor 12 through low speed rotation without fail.
