DOOR MODULE COMPRISING A DOOR LOCK AND AN EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE FOR A VEHICLE DOOR

The invention relates to a door module (1) for a vehicle door, comprising a door lock (8) and an exterior door handle. Said door module (1) comprises an L-shaped modular support (6) on whose first extremity (7) the door lock (8) is mounted and on whose second extremity (9) the bearing bracket (10) of the exterior door handle is disposed. The aim of the invention is to allow for the door module (1) to be mounted on the vehicle door (2) in a fast and simple manner. To this end, the bearing bracket (10) of the exterior door handle is mounted on the second extremity (9) of the modular support (6) that is linked with the door lock (8) in such a way to be movable in all directions within a defined tolerance range. The pre-assembled unit so obtained allows for the bearing bracket (10) to be laterally displaced once the door lock (8) has been mounted on the vehicle door's (2) front face in order to take into consideration any existing tolerances.
