The longitudinal hollow profile, to secure loads or reinforce walls and floors, has two parallel side walls (1) along the longitudinal line (L) and two lateral base walls (2) at right angles to the side walls in a given width (b) and wall thickness (w) to form a rectangular cross section. The edge of the profile is folded to form a longitudinal web (5) on the plane of at least one base, extending by a height (c) over the side walls, and open towards the interior (6) of the hollow profile. The thickness (d) of the folded edge is 2-6 times the wall thickness of the base.
