In a first sequence (S1) an 11-bit-length event code (EC) is transmitted with a 16-bit-width location code (LC) connected. The event code passes to a car driver to carry a message, e.g. multistory car-park full. Location information about the road for the car-park is specified with the LC. In second (S2) and third (S3) sequences, code words (DL) are transmitted with details about the location, e.g. defined geographical coordinates. An Independent claim is also included for a device for issuing messages with a traffic message channel interpreter.
