PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission belt with high strength, high modulus, small deterioration of strength of the belt after running, and excellent bending fatigue resistance. SOLUTION: In this V-ribbed belt 1, core wires 3 are embedded in an adhesive rubber layer 2 along a belt longitudinal direction, and a compressed rubber layer 4 with a plurality of ribs in the belt longitudinal direction is formed at the bottom part of the adhesive rubber layer 2, and a base cloth 5 is laminated on the top part of the adhesive rubber layer 2. The core wire 3 is composed of a strand cord with total fineness of 3,000-7,000 obtained by twisting strands constituted of polyparaphenylenebenzobisoxazole fiber of 400-1,700 dtex and strands constituted of Aramid fiber of 400-1,700 dtex.
