PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for an electromagnetically driven actuator having good efficiency. SOLUTION: The driving device 200 is provided with a coil driving device 210 which applies driving current to a driving coil 132 only for a specified period, a voltage detecting device which is used to detect the voltage between both ends of the coil 132, a sample/hold device 230 which holds the detected voltage of the device 220 and a peak detecting device 240 which is used to detect a specified phase in the vicinity of the peak of swing angular velocity of a movable section 112. The device 230 starts the holding operation at the starting time of applying the current or immediately prior to the application and releases the holding with delay after the completion of the application of the current. The device 240 detects a specified phase in the vicinity of the peak of the swing angular velocity of the section 112 based on the output of the device 230.
