PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden imposed on a worker in an inspection work of an engine in a small-size and light-weight constitution capable of securing the rigidity. SOLUTION: This cylinder block support device is provided with a pair of leg members 1, a support base 2 fixed to the upper surface of one end part in the length direction of the pair of leg members 1, and a support frame 73 fixed to the upper surface of the support base 2. The support frame 73 is provided with a pair of vertical plates 3a and 3b fixed on the upper surface of a bottom plate part 16 in the direction orthogonally crossing with the length direction of the pair of leg members 1, and a plurality of connecting plates 5b formed by connecting the both vertical plates 3a and 3b. A fitting member 6 is rotatably supported to the insides of support holes 4 and 4 provided in an intermediate part of the respective vertical plates 3a and 3b. The fitting member 6 is freely driven by an electric motor 8. When the inspection work of the engine, a cylinder block is connected to the end part of the other end side in the length direction of the pair of leg members 1 out of the fitting member 6 via the connecting member 7.
