CAPPING HEAD AND CAPPING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bottle cap part from being deformed and to prevent a cap material from crazing by keeping a sufficient processability at a screw part and a skirting part. SOLUTION: A capping head is provided with a processing roller 4 which forms a screw part 59 corresponding to a thread 52 of a bottle hole part 51 from the periphery while it rotates around the cap material 55 covering the bottle hole part 51 and a processing roller 5 for skirting a lower end part of the cap material 55 on the bottle hole part 51 and fixing it thereon. Diameters of the processing rollers 4 and 5 are set in a range of 15-25 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
