WATER-BASE INK COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-base ink which can give a printed matter excellent in light resistance and is suitably used particularly for an inkjet recording method.

SOLUTION: The water-base ink is characterized in that it contains at least a coloring material, water serving as a main solvent, and a compound comprising a glycoside having a phenolic hydroxy group, wherein the coloring material comprises a colored substance having no azo group.
