<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for inkjet recording, which gives a print image excellent in coloration and gloss, can prevent nonuniformity in color, and particularly can give good quality of print on both a plain paper and a glossy paper. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition is characterized in that it contains at least pigments comprising pigment particles having particle diameter distribution peaks respectively in two or more particle diameter ranges. Examples of the pigments suitably used include those comprising pigment particles having particle diameter distribution peaks respectively in the range of particle diameters from 1 nm to below 100 nm and in the range of particle diameters from 100 nm to 180 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
