<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record an image of high image quality stably by performing measurement of density with high accuracy by a simple arrangement, setting appropriate density correction conditions depending on the recorder, and correcting the density suitably. <P>SOLUTION: The medical image recorder comprises means 101 and 120 for outputting a density correction chart, a density measuring means 150 having spectral sensitivity characteristics for measuring the image density of a density correction chart where the peak wavelength is in the range of 650-700 nm, means 160 for storing correspondence of the measurements of density and the visual density, means 170 for setting the density correction conditions of image recording based on the measurements of density of the density correction chart and the correspondence of the stored measurements of density and the visual density, and an image processing means 101 performing correction of density based on set density correction conditions wherein black ink has such spectral characteristics as the optical density at the wavelength of 650-700 nm is 1-70% that at the wavelength of 600 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
