PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink tank wherein the ink tank filled with only a required amount of ink according to use of an ink jet recorder can be placed at any place wherever the ink tank is prepared, and an ink feeder employing the ink tank. SOLUTION: An empty hollow component 31 formed by blow-molding is placed inside the ink tank 22. By putting the component 31 into the ink tank 22, a necessary and sufficient quantity of the ink 23 for use of the ink jet recorder can be put in the tank 22 without changing a tank volume. Even if an atmospheric pressure when placing is lower than a pressure of a site where the ink is filled, the ink tank 22 contains air 30 to a degree that the ink 23 is not pushed out.
