PURPOSE: Provided is a composition for the improvement of intestinal function which is manufactured by differentiating the content of lactic acid bacteria, edible fiber, oligosaccharide, herb, vitamin, mineral and the like according to constipation types, such as chronic constipation and spastic constipation. CONSTITUTION: A composition for the improvement of intestinal function for chronic constipation comprises 10-20% of mixed antibiotic of Lactobacillus sp. and Bifidobacterium sp., 5-20% of seed skin of Plantago asiatica L., 30-50% of fructooligosaccharide, 0.1-5% of herb and 0.01-2% of vitamin and mineral. A composition for the improvement of intestinal function for spastic constipation comprises 10-20% of mixed antibiotic of Lactobacillus sp. and Bifidobacterium sp., 20-40% of seed skin of Plantago asiatica L., 10-30% of fructooligosaccharide, 0.1-5% of herb and 0.01-2% of vitamin and mineral.
