<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device of checking the stored liquid level in a disusing liquid container for range food fans, which is simple in structure and can be used for checking the level of disusing liquid (oil and condensation water) even in a disusing liquid container provided in a hood in a relatively dark atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: This device includes the disusing liquid container 6, which is installed in the hood 1 so as to be removable and can be used for checking the level of disusing liquid in a room when it is in use, and a part or the whole of which is formed of transparent material, a lighting instrument 4a, which is installed at a level more than the disusing liquid container 6, and an intake means for taking a part of the light from the lighting instrument 4a in the disusing liquid container 6.
