PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine-glazed-paper inspection apparatus by which a length of a sheet of machine glazed paper formed by winding a sheet of beltlike paper, such as a sheet of toilet tissue paper or the like on a cylindrical core part is measured in a short time with satisfactory efficiency and with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The machine-glazed-paper inspection apparatus is constituted of a support shaft 2 which unrolls a sheet of beltlike paper 1a for the sheet of machine glazed paper 1 so as to be freely supported; a slack preventive implement 2a for the sheet of unrolled beltlike paper 1a; a guide roller 6 which is supported by an introduction roller 4 and a delivery roller 5 to be turned and driven at the same speed and in the same direction by a drive means 3; feed belts 8 which are stretched and installed at the feed roller 5 and a drivation roller 7 nearly parallel to the roller 5, and which are composed of a blank having a large coefficient of friction with the sheet of beltlike paper 1a; and a display means 12 for displaying a length calculated by a computing means 11, which starts a computing operation to calculate the length by an electrical signal received from a rotation-angle measuring means 9 used to convert a rotation angle of the derivation roller 7 into the electrical signal when a detection signal is received from a detection means 10 used to detect the existence of the sheet of beltlike paper 1a, and which finishes the computing operation when the detection signal is not received from the detection means 10.
