ANTIBACTERIAL MILDEWPROOFING AGENT AND ANTIBACTERIAL MILDEWPROOFING COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial mildewproofing composition having excellent antibacterial mildewproofing effect usable widely in general industrial products including foods, cosmetics and inks, exhibiting excellent mildewproofing effect especially to true fungi such as mold and having high safety. SOLUTION: The antibacterial mildewproofing composition is produced by adding capillin to an antibacterial mildewproofing composition such as an antibacterial mildewproofing agent, food, cosmetic and industrial products. The amount of capillin in the antibacterial mildewproofing composition is≥0.1μg/g. The antibacterial mildewproofing effect is further improved by a highly synergistic effect by using capillin in combination with a medium-chain fatty acid monoglyceride at a ratio falling within a specific range.
