PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steroid sulfatase inhibitor containing a thiophosphate derivative or its pharmacologically permissible salt as an active component. SOLUTION: The steroid sulfatase inhibitor contains a thiophosphate derivative of formula (I) (R1and R2are each independently H or a substituted or unsubstituted lower alkyl; and O-R3is a monocyclic alcohol residue or a polycyclic alcohol residue) or its pharmacologically permissible salt as an active component. For example, the active component is a thiophosphate derivative of formula I wherein R1and R2are each hydrogen atom and R3is a group of formula A or a pharmacologically permissible salt of the derivative.
